I want to be fitter so that I can play football with my son.
I want to be fitter to increase my overall health.
I want to be able to do those things that presently make me huff and puff.
I want to prove that I can do it.
I want to make my family proud.
There are other reasons, and each time I think about the training to come, I think up a new reason to do it.
I know it is hard, I know I will ache, be grouchy, embarrass myself and create a lot of laundry, but I don’t care.
