Back on the wagon this week, which is always good, and seems to back up what I thought last week about water retention in muscles after exercise. I had family visiting this week so¬† didn’t really anticipate anything after eating awfully well!

I have decided to drop the measurements as part of my weekly process, and instead will do it monthly instead. As changes are extremely gradual, it works out better that way.

Four weeks down, and I have taken my first blip in my weigh in. After working hard at the gym yesterday I have put on 2.5lbs. There is a school of thought that water retention can be high after an intense workout, particularly for those who who do not workout often.

My masterplan to kick this in is to work hard this week, and exercise the day before weigh in again, to keep the downward overall trend!

Third week of weighing has shown a decrease in weight. The overall number is not as low as I would like, but I also recognise that my gym attendance has been down. Furthermore, I have not been eating particularly great as my hours have been extended in work, revising.

This notwithstanding, I do have a clear week ahead so can make a big dent in next week’s numbers.

Second week still showing positive results. Although the loss was a little less this week, I am putting that down to not really sticking to my daily / alternate day plan of exercise. I work a 6/4 cycle, and only really exercise on my work days. Therefore out of every 10, I exercise up to 6 times. This is great if my weigh day falls at the end of my work cycle. However, if, like this week, I end up losing a few days due to injury, it can reduce the loss.

However… I am happy! Maintaining a steady rate is good for me, and I have still not really adjusted my diet!
